About
When folks ask me about Alaska, they often mention how they'd be worried about the snow and cold. Those you can prepare for, but the real challenge of living in Alaska is dealing the extremes of daylight and darkness. (Anchorage varies from about 4.5 hours at the Winter Solstice and 20+ hours at the Summer Solstice). It takes some effort to adapt to, but the changes in daylight and darkness mean the light too is always changing and often glorious - and you never know what you might see! Although most of my gallery images depict Alaska in all four seasons, I have a number from favorite National Parks and other places I've been fortunate enough to visit.
